  • Certificate IV in Project Management

    This is day 1 of an intensive 3 day- course, focused on those staff working in, or with, projects. It describes 8 of the 9 knowledge areas (PMBOK®4th Edition Guide) relevant for successful management of projects from the perspective of team members and the project manager, and uses real life case studies during the course to make the theory applicable.

    In the course, participants use computers to complete their activities, which include learning how to build a PROJECT PLAN using the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) method. This is a highly interactive, high energy course, successful completion of which results in the award of a Certificate IV in Project Management.

    The Certificate IV in Project Management will run across three consecutive Saturday sessions, on the 11th of September, 18th of September and the 25th of September. The Certificate IV in Project Management consists of 8 units taught across these sessions as follows:

    • 11th September: Project Scope & Time
    • 18th September: Project management Cost, Quality & HR
    • 25th September: Project management Communication, Risk, Contract & Procurement

  • Builders Registration: Manage Project Risk & Manage Project Quality

    This one day course has been specifically designed for people wishing to obtain Builders Registration in WA via the 2010 Builders Registration Pathway CPC50208.

    This high energy course consists of two units of competency from the Project Management Diploma, with theory and practical examples from the building and construction industry delivered in a workshop environment. The course includes case studies from residential and commercial areas and covers a wide variety of construction projects.

    Participants who successfully complete this course and the related assessment will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for;

    • BSBPMG505A Manage Project Quality
    • BSBPMG508A Manage Project Risk

    These two units are from the Diploma of Project Management and comprise two of the 17 units of competency required for persons wishing to apply for Builders Registration in Western Australia through the CPC50208 pathway.

    Costs for the course are as follows:

    • $405.00 per person (members eligible for CTF subsidy)
    • $460.00 per person (non members eligible for CTF subsidy)
    • $995.00 per person (members not eligible for CTF subsidy)
    • $1050.00 per person (non members not eligible for CTF subsidy)
