Paradigma Solutions delivers the following Qualifications to assist projects and project-based organisations.

BSB41507 Certificate IV in Project Management – 3 days
Project Management for Successful Projects

The Certificate IV in Project Management has been designed to equip participants with the essential skills, knowledge and attributes to work effectively as project team members.

The 3-day Certificate IV in Project Management is a competency-based award at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level IV. Competencies at this level describe the functions of a project team member who usually works with other team members under the direction of a project manager.

Eight units of competency from the National Competency Standards for Project Management are required for the qualification. These units of competency are in line with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) adopted by both the Project Management Institute (PMI® – USA) and the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).

Who should attend?

This course is designed for project team members, project office support staff and for project managers who wish to reinforce the project management skills they have acquired on the job and obtain formal recognition. The course allows for a new project manager to upgrade smoothly from the Certificate IV in Project Management to the Diploma of Project Management.

Course Delivery Method and Resources

This course is delivered over 3 days, in a workshop environment with computers for each student. Each participant receives, as part of the course and included in the fee, a Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide 4th Edition) book issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Participants should be prepared to have some homework to do over these days.

All 8 units of competency are CORE and therefore mandatory. These are delivered over the 3 days as follows:

  • BSBPMG403A – Apply Cost Management Techniques
  • BSBPMG404A – Apply Quality Management Techniques

  • BSBPMG407A – Apply Risk Management Techniques
  • BSBPMG408A – Apply Contract and Procurement Procedures

BSB51407 Diploma of Project Management – 5 days
Leading Successful Projects

The Diploma of Project Management has been designed to equip the participants with the essential skills, knowledge and attributes to work effectively as project leaders in any industry.

The Diploma of Project Management offered by Paradigma Solutions is a 5-day competency-based award at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level V. Our course is both accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), and endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) as being a relevant Project management qualification.

Competencies at the Diploma level describe the functions of a project manager who manages the work of project team members. Nine units of competency from the National Competency Standards for Project Management are required for the qualification. These units of competency are in line with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) adopted by both AIPM and PMI® – USA.

Who is this for?

This course is designed for project leaders, supervisors, project co-ordinators and administrators and for project managers who wish to reinforce the project management skills they have acquired on the job and obtain formal recognition.

Course Delivery Method and Resources

This course is delivered over 5 days, in a workshop environment with computers for each student. Each participant receives, as part of the course and included in the fee, a Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide 4th Edition) book issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI®).

Participants should be prepared to have some homework to do over these days. In addition the 5 days delivery, and the activities and assessments that will occur during this time, there is an ‘at work’ project which is required to be completed within 30 days of the assessment. This serves to embed the learning further, and gives candidates the opportunity to practice the skills they have learned in their work environment.

Course Objectives/ Learning  Outcomes

At the end of the course participants will be able to demonstrate achievement of the required nine competencies for the award of Diploma of Project Management. Additionally, it provides participants with the ability to put what they have learned into practical use in their workplace.

Managing Quality and Risk – Builders Registration – 1 day
Risk and Quality – Builders Registration: Master Builders Program
BSBPMG505A Manage Project Quality & BSBPMG508A Manage Project Risk

This is a 1-day workshop specifically conducted for those wishing to obtain Builders’ Registration in WA.

This high energy course consists of TWO Units of Competency from the Project Management Diploma, with theory and practical examples from the building and construction industry delivered in a workshop environment. Case studies are from residential and commercial areas and cover a wide variety of projects that are delivered in the industry. Successful completion of the course and the assessments results in a Statement of Attainment from the 2 Project Management Diploma Units – BSBPMG505A Manage Project Quality and BSBPMG508A Manage Project Risk.
